About

Rita Chraibi opened her firm's Miami office in 2018, the same year she opened in New York. At Monad Terrace, the 59-residence building Jean Nouvel designed with Kobi Karp for JDS Development Group on the bay side of Miami Beach, Chraibi designed the first finished residence.

That four-bedroom unit covers 5,193 square feet and opens onto a 42-foot terrace with a reflecting pool. As a Roche Bobois ambassador, Chraibi furnished it from Jean Paul Gaultier's collection for the brand, and she chose paintings and sculpture by Marco Grassi through Galleria Ca' d'Oro. Harper's Bazaar Arabia published the finished rooms. The MUSE Design Awards listed the residence among its 2020 winners, and SBID named it a finalist.

On Palm Island, her team designed the interiors of a 15,731-square-foot villa on Biscayne Bay and finished the job in May 2021. The firm's site lists more Miami work under way, including a residence in Coral Gables and a mansion in Golden Beach. If you're furnishing a new Miami Beach condo and want fashion-house references in your rooms, study her Monad Terrace residence to see how she works.
