About

Edson E. Dailey Jr. and Roger Patton Janssen founded Dailey Janssen Architects in 1990, and Janssen has led the design work for more than three decades. The firm keeps its office on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach and holds a Florida architecture business license dating to that first year.

Janssen's team focuses on coastal houses. He grounds the work in Florida vernacular building and the wider traditions of the Caribbean, and he has carried the firm's custom approach from houses into commercial and private hospitality projects. On Palm Beach island, Janssen designed the estate at 916 South Ocean Boulevard.

The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach gave one of the firm's estate restorations its 2020 Robert I. Ballinger Award. The ICAA's Florida chapter honored the firm's Via Flagler work with a 2025 Addison Mizner Award. If you plan a new oceanfront estate or a careful restoration of an old one, you can see both kinds of work in this portfolio, and you'll deal with a principal who has run the design side since 1990.
