About

Carlos Bonilla and Irma Torregroza met in high school and earned their architecture degrees at Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogotá. They went on to study classical architecture in Verona. The couple moved to Jupiter in 1999 and spent a decade with residential design firms before they opened Bonilla Torregroza Architecture in 2009.

Their studio designs custom homes from Palm Beach to Wellington, with a focus on waterfront and equestrian properties. The portfolio includes an oceanfront estate renovation in Palm Beach and an equestrian estate in Wellington. They have designed much of their waterfront work in Lost Tree Village and along the Loxahatchee River.

In Jupiter they completed an Intracoastal house with designer Cynthia Boyd. The founders run the firm as partners in life and design, and they bring more than 40 years of combined experience to each commission. If you want a small studio with classical training and a deep list of north county waterfront homes, put this pair on your shortlist.
