About
Ellen Kavanaugh founded Ellen Kavanaugh Interiors in 2015 after close to a decade in the field. Her Palm Beach team designs new interiors and renovates historic houses, and she has worked to preserve the look of the classic Palm Beach home while updating it for modern families.
Kavanaugh pairs vintage finds with crisp color and natural textures such as pecky cypress. She starts with a house's architecture and the way your family lives, and she layers the rooms from there so they stay easy to live in. She founded the firm to design homes filled with the color of everyday living, and you'll see that goal in her bright, layered rooms.
The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art gave the firm its Addison Mizner Award for Interior Design in 2020. House Beautiful has toured several of her homes, and LUXE Interiors + Design named the firm a Gold List honoree.
